Before & After

The Difference Preparation Makes

This garage came to us with patched, half-stripped walls and a bare, stained slab. The finish you see on the right is not a coat of paint over the problem — it is a fully ground, repaired and re-coated floor with the walls repainted above a coved base.

  • Diamond-ground the slab to open the concrete profile
  • Filled and ground flush every crack, joint and spalled patch
  • Repainted the block and drywall above the coved base
  • Broadcast a full flake system with a coved edge up the wall
  • Sealed with a polyaspartic topcoat for salt, chemicals and hot tires
The same garage after — repainted grey walls and a grey flake epoxy floor with a coved base
Garage before work — patched blue walls with exposed filler and a bare, stained concrete slab

What we commit to on every job

Licensed & insured

Commercial general liability coverage and WSIB clearance. Certificates go straight to homeowners, property managers and condo boards on request.

Fixed written quotes

The preparation scope is itemised and the price is agreed before we start. It does not move once work is underway.

Sign-off before invoicing

We walk the finished job with you in daylight and fix everything on your list. Nothing is invoiced until you've signed that off.

Dates we actually keep

Your estimate carries a firm start date. Exterior work moves only when temperature or moisture would compromise the finish — and we tell you why.

FAQ

Common Questions

Everything worth knowing before you book a painting project in Ontario. Still unsure about something? Call us — we would rather answer it now than at the estimate.

How much does painting cost in Ontario?

+

Interior painting in Ontario typically runs $2 to $6 per square foot and exterior painting $3 to $8 per square foot. The variables that actually move the price are ceiling height, surface condition, the number of colours, and how much repair and preparation the surfaces need. BrightLook Paintings Inc gives you a free on-site estimate with a fixed written price, so the number does not change once work begins.

How long does an interior painting project take?

+

A standard three-bedroom home interior takes one to three days, and a single room is usually done in a day. Projects needing extensive drywall repair, wallpaper removal, or several coats for a large colour change take longer. You get the exact timeline in writing with your estimate.

Are you licensed and insured in Ontario?

+

Yes. BrightLook Paintings Inc is a fully licensed painting contractor carrying commercial general liability insurance and WSIB clearance. We provide certificates of insurance and clearance certificates directly to homeowners, property managers and condominium boards on request.

Do you offer free estimates?

+

Yes. Estimates are free, on-site and carry no obligation. We measure the space, assess the condition of the surfaces, and give you a written quote with the preparation scope itemised — so you can compare it properly against any other quote you have rather than comparing two bare numbers.

What paint brands do you use?

+

We use premium products from Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore as our default, and we are happy to work with any brand you prefer. These products give better coverage per coat, hold colour longer under UV, and stand up to Ontario's freeze-thaw cycling far better than economy lines.

Do you provide commercial painting services in Ontario?

+

Yes. We paint offices, retail units, restaurants, clinics, warehouses and multi-unit residential buildings across Ontario, with evening, overnight and weekend scheduling so your business keeps operating through the repaint.

How should I prepare my home for painting?

+

We handle all surface preparation — cleaning, sanding, filling, caulking and priming — and we move and cover furniture ourselves. All we ask is that you clear small items, valuables, electronics and anything fragile from the rooms before we arrive.

Can I stay in my home while you paint?

+

Yes. We work room by room in occupied homes as a matter of course, using low-VOC paints, containing dust during sanding, and clearing and cleaning the work area at the end of every day so the house stays livable throughout the project.

How long will my new paint job last?

+

A properly prepared interior typically holds up 7 to 10 years in living areas, and a well-prepared exterior 7 to 10 years on siding and trim. Preparation quality, not paint price, is the single biggest factor — most premature failures are prep failures rather than product failures.

What areas of Ontario do you serve?

+

We serve Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Markham, Richmond Hill, Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton, Milton, Ottawa, Pickering, Whitby, Oshawa, Aurora and the surrounding communities. Call us to confirm scheduling for your address.
